KW17/2024 Last hope

... and here is my top topic for the 17th week of 2024 artistically implemented. New every Sunday.

The blockade of US aid to Ukraine to defend itself against the Russian war of aggression has been lifted. There is hope for Ukraine again.

My personal hope is that Russia will realise that such a war cannot end successfully for them either and that a ceasefire and peace negotiations will finally take place. But we should not forget that hundreds of people die every day on both sides - also as a result of the weapons supplied.

Hope and death are closely linked in my painting. The flower represents hope, emerging from the earth with skulls.
