KW02/2024 Taiwan has voted

With the election of its president, the majority of Taiwan has spoken out in favor of a course independent of China.

Has the election made an invasion by China more likely?

The flag of Taiwan is interspersed with the flag of China and is intended to symbolize the (supposed) claims of China. The conflict is a political issue, which is why the “capital” of Taiwan (Taipei) is depicted with the “Taipei 101” skyscraper. The tornness of the flags and the coloring do not bode well. On the contrary, acts of war such as large-scale fires could already be taking place in the background of the image.

The current division is also expressed by the reflection in the picture.
