Drug. A destructive war currency (e.g. in Afghanistan). Drugs destroy countries: Drug cartels operate as a state within a state (e.g. in Latin America). No wonder that mafia-like machinations involving cocaine, heroin, etc. have become a top topic for agents in reality and on screen. For stories that give the audience an injection of feverish high tension - which photo artist Ralf Schellen unmistakably symbolizes with the oversized syringe in this motif.

The reality of the brutal drug business works in a certain way to support the dramaturgy of the cinema: there are fascinating locations (e.g. in the Caribbean), hot spots for the rich and famous or film-worthy smuggling with luxury yachts and seaplanes. And there are sharks that can also be used as horrific weapons. In this composition, the anonymous spy girl not only embodies the playmate role of well-known classic agents; Rather, she seems to be actively involved in what is happening - and in particular stands for a big, gaudy myth of pop culture: Sex and Drugs. The fact that nothing is sacred to screenwriters is also shown when a church itself becomes a drug laboratory in the cinema. And agents sometimes see themselves not just as executives, but as execution bodies and give drug lords short shrift (or none). Ralf Schellen: “The (retro style) texture is reminiscent of the pop aesthetic of the 1980s. The color and structure of the texture reinforce the 'underwater impression' of the motif." But there is also fire involved...

The printout is made on “aluminium composite”. Thanks to the latest generation of UV direct printing with 7 colors including light colors, the matt surface of the aluminum composite shines in absolutely rich colors and subtleties are displayed in high resolution down to the last detail. The pictures come with a pre-assembled profile suspension and are approximately 1 cm away from the wall. This gives your mural a floating look.
