Week 24/2024 disappointing

... and here is my top topic for week 24 of 2024, artistically implemented. New every Sunday.

Europe is moving to the right, the parties in the German government are losing massively. For me, there are no obvious consequences.

The government parties ran into this debacle knowingly (see polls months ago). It would be naive to act surprised now. Where are the consequences and solutions now?

Unfortunately, the opportunity to change course and/or personnel in key areas is slipping away. Keep going like this and more “surprises” will follow.

For me, an empty train that departs or continues without passengers symbolizes a missed opportunity. Voters are lost. The colors are gloomy, just like the general mood, and the colors of the governing parties are hinted at in the picture. There are also colored seats - an allusion to the seats in the Bundestag. The door at the end of the train is dark and closed - without perspective. The stickers in the windows could be reminiscent of election posters.
