Week 11/2024 Law and Order
... and here is my top topic for the 11th week of 2024 artistically implemented. New every Sunday.
n last week, the world's first AI law was passed in the EU. So far so good. On the one hand, personal and data protection will be strengthened - which I support - but on the other hand, it is not clear to me how the law can/should be handled and monitored in its actual implementation. Can the law actually withstand the rapid progress or will it slow it down?
A person in a futuristic suit stands in a corridor in a prison. It is unclear whether this person is or will be a guard, observer or inmate.
The simple and monotonous structure of the image, the lighting and the colors used convey a rather uncomfortable feeling. It also gives the impression that the plot could take place in a science fiction movie / in the future.
It is also not clear to the viewer whether the person is a person in a suit, a robot or a cyborg. I associate this with both legal ambiguities/attribution of guilt in case law and the idea that in the future AI and humans will grow ever closer together, although here I use the image of the robot/cyborg as a synonym for AI.
This picture is part of my weekly ARTblog on Instagram , in which I discuss current topics from the past week that are close to my heart. I do not claim to have the “ultimate, correct opinion” but rather just present my view in artistic form.

Treatment & Care
Treatment & Care
The print is applied with high quality ink on high quality art paper. To ensure longevity, the image should be protected from direct sunlight.
It is recommended that you only touch the pictures with gloves.
Only pictures made of acrylic glass can be cleaned with a clean, damp cloth without pressure.
Never expose unprotected prints to water. This destroys the surface.
